My name is Emi and I am a die-hard Harry Potter fan.
I have read Books 1 to 4 five times, book 5 twice, book 6 once (for now).
Aside from my hard-bound English copies, I also have several foreign-language edition in my bookshelf - Book 1 in Chinese, Book 2 in Thai, Book 3 in Dutch and Book 5 in Italian. I am still in the process of acquiring more of these foreign issues to expand my collection. I also have mp3s copies of the audiobooks, books 1 to 5.
I discovered HP and the Sorcerer’s Stone in a featured article in Time Magazine, way before it became a hot item here in Manila. I basically introduced the book to my family and friends by lending it to them. My copy of HP and the Sorcerer’s Stone had been borrowed and read by more than twenty people, the other books by more than five people each.
I always get my copy of each new book on the first day of release (thank God the Phil. release date is now simultaneous with the worldwide date!). And if that date falls on a weekday, I always file a vacation leave from work so that I can enjoy the new book ASAP. I cannot imagine hearing the ending of a particular book from someone else (thus, I don’t read spoilers as well).
As much as I enjoy the books more than their counterpart movies, still that doesn’t preclude me from watching the latter on their first show date (also a MUST!). Thank God for Sureseats!
Fortunately this year, I am still in my maternity leave, so I was able to watch it during the first screening time today.
Most people may refer to my behavior as an addiction. Well, I'd rather call it passion.

P.S. Book 4 is my favorite in the series...and yes, the movie HP & The Goblet of Fire is now my favorite as well! :D
