Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia, so definitely a must-see if you visit BC. However, our total travel time back and forth downtown Vancouver to this city was longer than the time we actually spent going around! But at the end of the day, it was still totally worth the trip.
And I love the BC ferries! We didn't even realized that an hour and a half of sailing had already passed since we spent most of our time in their well-stocked cafeteria. Hehe!
Attractions visited:
1. The Butchart Gardens (Brentwood Bay) - an awesome array of meticulously maintained gardens
2. BC Parliament Building - home to the legislative assembly of BC. Luckily, they provide free weekend tours so we were able to see the insides of the building, where the assembly actually hold their session. Astig!
3. The Empress Hotel - a famous attraction in Victoria, known for its Edwardian afternoon tea service
4. Miniature World - world of everything tiny
5. Craigdarroch Castle - Victorian-era mansion used as location in the movies "Little Women", "Spooky House" & "Cats and Dogs"
