TGIF

This is one particular Friday that I am REALLY so thankful for. It is my “almost end of a long tunnel journey”. I super welcome the next two days which promise complete freedom from the workplace.

The past week in the office had been one of the most tiring and stressful ever – all credits to our
SOX (Sarbanes Oxley Act) requirements here. (The reason why I don’t get to post in my blog for an entire week!). I wonder if other US companies exert the same effort for compliance to this act as we do. After all our efforts for the past few months to make sure we comply 100%, we failed the first round of readiness test. So crunch time for remediation! Couple that with pressure from management!

Thus, my normal (petiks) weekday life had really been bungled this week. I missed the primetime spot of Amazing Race in AXN last Wednesday because i need to stay in the office till 830 in the evening (so I have to wait for the midnight replay – despite the violent protest of my then droopy eyes and wasted body).

My hubby joined his first (two-night) Tiangge ever and I failed to go on the second night because I was too tired already. Mega-understanding that he is, he said it's ok.

Last Tueday was the first time ever that I suddenly jerked out of bed and realized that it is 9:00 am already (!!!) and I have a meeting with the Management Team after lunch and I still have to prepare for it in the morning!!! I was grumpy in the car all the way to the office and despised all things and people that hinders us from getting there fast! It is only today while I am writing this blog that I fully appreciated how my husband (who drove me to work) was so patient and comforting to me that morning.

Today, I have migraine. Good thing my husband knows where to pinch to ease the pain.

THANK GOD IT IS FRIDAY ALREADY!!!
