What You ACTUALLY Do When You're Alone

Our workshop facilitator said that the ROAD MAP for your Project (please refer to previous post) is a “living document”. It may change anytime due to (unforeseen) events or things you failed to consider in your previous evaluation or development.

So! To finish off my “4-DAY SOLITUDE SURVIVAL PROJECT”, here is the final report:

STAGE (day) THREE:

During phase 1 and 2, I was not able to predict the coming of a severe (and splitting!) headache and toothache occurrence during the latter part of the project period. These unfortunate events (THREATS) played a major impact in the final selection of my preferred alternative, the development of which is the main deliverable in this phase. To reiterate, these are the courses of action originally considered:

1. DOMESTIC DIVA – resume my clutter-clearing and scrap booking projects
2. SHOPAHOLIC– go out and do some retail therapy
3. PAMPER GAL – my hair, nails and whole body are screaming violently: SPA! SPA! SPA!
4. THE GOOD DAUGHTER– go home and spend the weekend with my family
5. KIKAY – do item 2 and/or 3 with my kikay friends

Since I was sick the whole weekend (alone na, sick pa! hayyy….), the last 4 options were not doable anymore since I cannot make my poor self go out and execute them. On the other hand, option number 1, although to be done indoors, requires energy and enthusiasm (weee!), which given my current “disability”, is not just attainable. So I have to improvise and come up with a pahabol option, which after a “thorough” analysis, came out as the best and preferred course of action.

6. ENTERTAINMENT POTATO – watch DVD all day and eat take-out food!

STAGE (day) FOUR:
Execution of the preferred alternative:

After taking the required dose of Mefenamic Acid to alleviate my physical sufferings, I buried myself in the couch and watch the complete Season Three of ALIAS (all twenty-two episodes).

Sydney’s missions and love-related struggles helped me forget that I was alone and entertained me the whole weekend. And since she and Vaughnn still ended up together in the last episode, i left my couch TRULY happy and satisfied.

And oh yes. The Philippines was mentioned once (in reference to the fictional Shining Sword terrorist group), Manila twice, in the whole season.
STAGE (day) FIVE:
Evaluation of Operation

Lessons Learned: If all else fails, always count on your precious DVDs, your reliable and friendly ref and the take-out booklet to sweep all your loneliness away.
