Nowadays, everywhere I go, I see… pregnant people. In the office, at my condo building, at the mall, in church, at birthday parties and weddings, my God even in Boracay! I have never had a week for the past three months that I didn’t see one pregnant (covered) belly.
Moreover, I have listened to many announcements of pregnancy, unwelcomed or much-awaited. From family members, friends, officemates, even strangers. Everyone seems to be expecting, literally.
I, on the other hand, remain to be expecting, figuratively.
I wonder, why is it harder to expect when you are ready and willing to expect, than when you don’t expect it at all?
I await the day I will be part of that special statistics.
Sawa na ko na mukha lang buntis! Gusto ko sana totohanan na! Hehe.
